With the help of friends and neighbors the horses at Gibson Ranch were in good hands.

The morning after all 150 horses were saved due to the combined efforts of the ordinary people who cared about saving these beautiful animals.

Today and every day you too can lend your support whether you live close to the fires or you are a charitable soul living miles away. Style Coven supports the Los Angeles Animal Care Foundation.

laca_logo“The Foundation assists the Department’s emergency response and disaster relief efforts through its Noah’s Legacy fund by providing supplies, training and equipment to support these activities. These services are critical to the communities served by the Department as it continues to rescue animals from wildfires, flooding, earthquakes and man-made disasters.

The Foundation purchased four Animal Safe trailers that provide temporary sheltering for pets whose owners are evacuated due to natural or man made disasters.  These trailers are self-sustaining, with heat, air conditioning, power, water, and lighting to provide excellent care to the displaced animals.  The Department stations and staffs these trailers next to Red Cross emergency sheltering sites, so pet owners are never far away from their beloved pets.

The Foundation has also sponsored training on the safe evacuation and care of horses.  Due to the frequency of wildfires in southern California, the Department is regularly called upon to evacuate and provide temporary sheltering for horses from fire zone areas.  The Foundation supports the Department and its volunteers in this critical and life-saving service.”

foal-2952004_640The Noah’s Legacy Fund was established to support the Department’s emergency response efforts. These services are critical to the communities we serve as we continue to respond to the wildfires, flooding and earthquakes that can occur here.

Your support will help provide the food, shelter and medical care, and spay & neuter surgery for feline, canine, equine and all other pet residents who require shelter and care as a result of a disaster. Your support will also help us reunite these pets with the families that are searching for them and to provide this service in the future when needed.

Please consider making a special donation today to the Noah’s Legacy Fund by mailing your contribution to The Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation at P.O. Box 100515, Pasadena, CA 91189-0515 on this web site – just click on Donate and specify the Noah’s Legacy Fund in your contribution.”
